Safety and Compliance Coordinator
The Safety and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for providing oversight of the company's Safety and DOT/OSHA compliance and managing and recruiter company drivers and Independent Contractors.
Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain Independent Contractor recruitment process
Monitor and improve driver and fleet performance through the use of ELD data and metrics
Track Driver Log exception processing through use of electronic log devices and be point-of-contact for compliance questions
Develop and implement standardized processes for Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screening & DOT Physicals
Manage DOT compliance of Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing and DOT Inspection and Citation Processing to insure strict compliance
Monitor Driver Qualification procedure including to ensure proper compliance from Federal, State regulations,company rules and policies to include: CDL, Physicals, MVR Reports and Hazmat training
Creates and updates company policies and procedures and ensures compliances with all applicable regulations
Conducts all necessary safety training for employees and contractors
Track and provide support for OSHA, injury, and Accident claims, statistics, and reports
Prepare and submit required Federal and State DOT Trucking Registrations, Licensing, Compliance Reports, etc.
Requirements:
o BS/BA degree preferred
o Five to seven years or more years experience with DOT regulations and safety administration in a trucking, general industry, or warehousing environment
o Able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
o Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously
o Working knowledge of DOT regulations regarding Driver qualifications and requirements
o Three or more years of experience with Microsoft Office
o Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, Drug & Alcohol Regulations (including Parts 40, 199, & 382), including and other Regulatory Guidance
