Inspection Supervisor
Direct activities of the Inspection And Calibration department in:
Inspection of incoming and in-process material;
Final inspection and certification of product;
Care and calibration of gages; within the guidelines of customer and company Quality Management System Requirements.
Evaluation and Documentation of the quality of incoming material and outgoing product and service;
Job assignments
Responsibility:
The Inspection Supervisor shall bear responsibility for the following areas:
As directed by upper Management, meet with suppliers, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss quality opportunities as required;
Maintaining QMS required documentation related to the inspection and calibration procedures.
Duties:
Ensure accuracy of inspections and associated paperwork.
Co-ordinate inspection and calibration operations; in support of company goals and delivery schedules
Inspection staffing duties including interviewing, hiring, reviewing and assigning job duties to inspection personnel
Investigate and propose acquisition of new technologies related to improving inspection productivity, accuracy, and throughput.
Performance Measurements:
Results of internal process audits of inspection area.
QMS compliance.
Position Requirements:
Formal education in areas such as mathematics, statistics, and industrial practices. College degree or equivalent required.
Training and experience in quality assurance and ISO / AS certification and compliance; GD&T and ASME Y14.5; ISO 10012.
5 - 10 years experience in inspection and gage calibration. Solid PC skills.
Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate work so as to meet goals and deadlines.
Knowledge /experience with gage R&R; gage selection, function, repair, and calibration.
Strong oral and written communication skills and good problem solving skills.
Must be familiar with and practice internal safety and housekeeping standards
Must be respectful and display a positive attitude
